Our Story
Founded by husband and wife team, Roberto & Maria opened Be U Studio in 2021 in the heart of Clapham Common Old Town. The main goal is to put the clients at the centre of everything They have worked hard to create a welcoming space where you can switch off and relax, safe in the knowledge that you will look and feel fabulous when you leave.
The result is that Be U Studio offers a wide range of aesthetic and beauty treatments, barbering and hairdressing. All are performed by our Highly Qualified and Experienced Team. Come in and experience quality treatments in our very friendly and welcoming salon.
Meet the Founders
Roberto
Co-owner and co-founder of Be U Studio, Roberto is an internationally recognised Barber, SMP Artist and VTCT-qualified trainer.
Roberto has always been passionate about hair and beard trends. This passion took him to London School Of Barbering where he became a Master Barber. He truly enjoys the traditional feel of a Barbershop and loves creating that experience for his clients, making each one walk out the door feeling like a new man. He specialises in skin fades, scissor cuts as well as hot towel and straight razor shaves; which makes any man feel amazing in a five-star service and relaxed environment which brings back the root of barbering. He is notorious for his consistent perfectionism and high quality, ensuring that his customers always leave delighted, with a new found confidence.
The art of barbering led him to become a qualified Scalp Micro Pigmentation artist at LGS Hair Clinic, as he always found it upsetting seeing clients distressed over hair loss, especially as conditions such as pattern hair loss are so common. Luckily Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) is recorded as the world’s leading hair loss treatment, changing lives one scalp at a time.
Co-owner and founder of Be U Studio, Maria is an internationally recognised multi-qualified aesthetician and VTCT-qualified trainer, with more than 10 years of experience in the beauty industry.
She started her journey in the world’s leading resort spa at Forte Village resort, where she gained a wealth of experience, training with the majority of the elite brands.
Having accomplished a wealth of knowledge and experience between Italy and UK, she continuously seeks progress and improvement, attending courses to ensure she stays up to date with our ever changing industry. This led her to progress her career, becoming a trainer, hoping to transmit the passion and motivation for the jobs she loves.
Deeply interested and passionate in skin care and in the facial side of beauty. For most people, their face is a large part of their identity, so they’re willing to make it look the best. Here is where she comes in, working closely with clients to give them their dream skin.

Beauty Therapist
Jodie is an internationally qualified beauty therapist. Originally from South Africa, she has over 5 years experience in the industry. She is passionate about providing world class treatments for her clients and is very caring. Jodie’s happy disposition ensures great conversation throughout your treatments.
Carola
Nurse
Carola is a dedicated and seasoned senior adult nurse and anaesthetic assistant in surgical departments. Recently merged her love of the cosmetic and beauty industry though a Master’s in Aesthetic Medicine. Skilled in injectables, facial aesthetics and anti-wrinkle treatments. She strongly supports natural beauty as one of the most universally flattering looks. With a thorough pre-assessment, she works to create tailored treatments for her clients, according to their needs and goals. She can’t wait to see you in the clinic!
Mirta
Hairstylist and Colour Specialist
Mirta has over 31 years experience behind her in all areas of hairdressing. She is a third generation of hairdressers that follows in her family in Palermo (Sicily). She has trained professionally and over the years she expanded her knowledge working in the Italian territory alongside the most renowned companies L’oreal /Wella and many others in the industry. She specialises in hair colour, taking her inspiration from the client’s needs and what she thinks will make them look fabulous.
Alessio
Hairstylist
Alessio has 30 years’ experience as a hairdresser in Italy, Monaco and now London. His various assignments and internships in Italy, USA and UK, have given him an international vision of the world of hairdressing. He has a passion for women’s hair, colouring, cutting and keratin blow dries. Alessio will help you match your inner beauty with the outside world, by achieving your hair goals.
